I want to be cellulite free!!

Posted by Marita Aranda on 2022 Nov 20th

This is a great workout program. I love all the workouts, they are very interesting and fun, and go by surprisingly fast. You can really feel the moves working every angle of your butt, core, and legs. Many of the moves work your whole body as well, and you will really work up a sweat. Leandro is great motivation... he is super excited about life! His motto is "Never settle for less" which really makes me feel motivated, especially at the hard points in the workouts when you want to give up. I decided to get this workout program specifically to get ready for spring break, because I definitely wasn't ready to wear a swimsuit. But once I saw this and saw good reviews, I bought it. It is a great program because it creates a schedule for you, so you know what workouts to do each day. I am in the first week and I can really feel it already. I notice a difference in the way I look and feel after just a few days. I have 6 weeks until swimsuit time, and I know that if I stick with this I will be happy! Make sure you take before/after pictures and measurements too--the videos come with a measuring tape and card to write everything down. I have to say though, I am in pretty good shape and many of the moves were difficult, especially the Pilates-type moves that BURN! But I think anyone could do this, you would just have to work up to the full moves. I am soooo excited to see the results with this.

    Fun, hard workout!

Posted by Meredith Newman on 2022 Nov 20th

Before I bought this product I read a lot of reviews on Amazon and other websites. I'm always worried about informercials. It seemed like anyone who gave a good review was accused of working for Beach Body or being paid by them. I do NOT work for Beach Body, instead I'm an Endo resident at the University of Pittsburgh. I make, like, nothing a year. I am definitely no Beach Body guru. I only know about Beach Body because my husband uses P90X. So, that's out of the way. I've tried workout videos before. I bought a Pilates workout, a lot of the Women's Health workouts (The Wedding Workout, which is my old favorite but kind of short), Hip Hop Abs (which I hated... the movements were hard to replicate), Turbo Jam (which I didn't have room in my apartment to do) and P90X (which I think is too hard for girls and not particularly fun.) But, I liked the idea of dancing, so I picked this over Zumba because there seemed to be more strength training in Brazil Butt Lift, and I was looking for toning over cardio. Also, I should tell you I'm not overweight. I wasn't looking to lose weight, just to tone up. I'm 130 and 5'7", but I haven't really worked out other than walk the dog for the last few months and doing some Ab Ripper X. I was feeling sort of... blah. My weight just felt like it had redistributed since our wedding 6 months ago and I was feeling like my tummy was sticking out more than I would like and my legs just weren't feeling muscle-y. My butt is pretty flat, and my inner thighs were bugging me a little. I just wanted stronger muscles. So, my expectations might be different than other people. (If you want to lose a ton of weight, stop reading my review. I'm not the right person.) I had some Amazon credit so I bought the videos and figured that if it didn't help, at least it was cheap.

My favorite Beachbody workout so far!

Posted by Leigh on 2022 Nov 20th

Brazil Butt Lift is the third Beachbody workout set that I've done and definitely my favorite! Prior to this, I did Insanity and T25. Insanity was a great way to kickstart my fitness after being a giant couch potato for a number of years. It helped whip me into shape quickly, changing my body and helping me feel generally pretty fit. However, it's an extremely intense program and after a round and a half I was starting to feel burnt out. T25 was a natural followup; it kept me in decent shape, but without the intensity of Insanity, and it allowed my body to rest. However, I wasn't very happy with my body after T25. I certainly hadn't gained weight, but I was "skinny fat." I still had White Girl Butt (wide, flat and saggy), my legs weren't as tight as I'd like, and my upper body was totally weak. So I read the reviews for BBL and decided to go for it. After two months of BBL, I LOVED my body. I was lean looking with nice definition, my arms looked fantastic, my abs were killer, and the ever-important booty was higher, rounder and firmer. There is much less of an emphasis on intense cardio than there is with the other two programs. In fact, I was initially afraid that I was going to gain weight with BBL because of this. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how toned and strong I was when I was done. Insanity helped me lose weight and gave me great cardio endurance but BBL made me look cut and muscular, which I loved. I didn't lose weight per se, but I gained muscle and lost body fat, which is evident in the fact that my boobs are completely sad now and I went down at least two cup sizes (ladies, I know you know what I'm talking about). The video set comes with resistance bands for your legs, and you are advised to buy ankle weights and some hand weights weighing anywhere from 3-10 pounds. I actually used my resistance bands from T25 for the arm exercises at the beginning, then ended up buying some 5 pound barbells. The ankle weights that I bought were adjustable; I added weight to them in half pound increments every couple of weeks. I would HIGHLY recommend buying adjustable weights like this so that you can add resistance as you go. If you use the same weight for the entire 2 months, you're not going to make the progress that you should. I would also advise buying two different sets of barbells for the same reason. I found all this equipment very cheaply at Wal-Mart. The host of BBL is Leandro, a very polite, cheerful Brazilian. He's no Shaun T, but who is? He's funny and nice and good at motivation, but he's terrible at counting out reps, often doing so out of rhythm and sometimes doing more reps with one arm/leg than the other. Also the models in this video weirded me out. They're all pretty, wearing lots of makeup, and you never see them break a sweat or even get out of breath. It's sort of bizarre and a definite change from the other two videos, where the models are huffing and puffing and dripping sweat along with you. Don't be fooled, though--you'll still get a killer workout. Here are the videos broken down: BASICS: Start with this video. It shows you the proper form for each move, which is extremely important if you want to avoid injury and get the results you want. Worth a one-time watch even if you already know the proper form for squats, lunges, etc. There's not a lot of time spent on proper form during the individual workouts, so make sure you get it right from the beginning! BUM BUM: (Pronounced "boom boom") A 35 minute cardio-based video, and my least favorite, probably because it kicked my ass every time. Your lower body will get a great workout, and flexing those quads will make you sweat hardcore. BUM BUM LIVE: An "extra" video about 25 minutes long that is just Leandro with one model in a studio (Marlene, who you might recognize from T25 and Insanity). Cardio-based lower body stuff, you can substitute this video or add it to another workout if you like. I actually really liked this one but still struggle with the jumping lunges. They just eat my knees up. BUM BUM RAPIDO: A 10-minute workout that you can throw on if you don't have time for a full workout. HIGH & TIGHT: 35 minutes, all lower body strength and resistance stuff with bands and ankle weights. Your booty will be seriously burning after this one. SCULPT: A full body workout involving legs, abs, arms, chest and shoulders. The longest individual workout in the series but it goes by quickly because there's so much variation in the work (50 minutes). CARDIO AXE: A cardio dance workout. I hated it the first time I did it because I felt like an idiot flailing around trying to gain my coordination, but then I grew to love it. Once I got the dance moves down, it became a really fun way to do some cardio (30 minutes). TUMMY TUCK: 20 minutes, an absolutely KILLER ab workout. My abs have never been in better shape than they were after BBL, all because of this video. For the first month of BBL, you'll generally only do one video each day except for a couple of days every week when you add the abs video. For the second month, you'll do 2 workouts a day. You pick one of 4 different programs based on your desired results (I went for the "lift" program). I really loved BBL. It delivered more visible changes in my body than either of the other workouts and it made me feel strong in a way that I hadn't in a really long time. Don't be fooled by the "feminine" approach to this program, you will work. In fact, since I finished BBL, I've gone back to the gym and started lifting heavy weights because I love how it makes my body look and feel. For me, BBL was a great transition from primarily cardio-based workouts to strength-based ones, which is something that every woman who wants to remain in great shape and change her body should seriously consider.

Noticing a difference after just one week!

Posted by Leanne on 2022 Nov 20th

I started this workout just one week ago, but I can say it'll be effective. My legs are going to get into shape. I finished one month ago body beast workout beachbody and it was hard, and Brazil butt lift is no less. I like it because it is focused on butt, but all the body is trained in the workout.

This program CHANGES your body to it BEST SHAPE!!!

Posted by Kelsy Gee on 2020 Dec 9th

First off, this is my second time using these DVDs to lose weight/tone/shape. I was 24 last time, pre pregnancy and ate very small meals. I lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks. 6 years and two babies later, it's a little harder. However, it still kicks my butt into shape. I follow one of the four 4week calendars provided in the DVD set. I also do an additional 2-3 days of cardio at the gym. My diet could be much better but food is life. It can be rough in the beginning, especially if you haven't worked out in a while. It seriously works though. You might be breathing heavy and wanting to give up the first two weeks. Don't. It doesn't get easier per say, but your body gets stronger. If your work out is easy then it's not working. These DVDs make it easy for this stay at home mom. Especially if you don't have any other way to get constructive exercise. Stay strong and try not to yell at Leandro

It's fun and easy to do

Posted by Kayla Rae on 2020 Dec 9th

This workout has shown me more progress than the gym has! I'm addicted. It's fun and easy to do and you don't realize the difficultly of the workout you've accomplished until you're sweating towards the end! I'm certain this has lifted my booty much more so than any exercise I've done in the gym.
