    Great for one handed use

Posted by AZ Tom on 2022 Aug 7th

Very useful if you’ve got a lot of equipment to grease. Much easier to grease one handed than other hand pump grease guns. Dewalt makes good stuff, this tool has worked well for 2 years and I expect it to work well for many more.

Time saver and handy as can be. Your equipment will thank you for it.

Posted by BElway on 2022 Aug 7th

Let's face it, anywhere you are using equipment is likely no where close to an air compressor or possibly even power. I have found that I take the time to grease my equipment more often because this tool is so handy and powerful. Quit wasting time waiting on the air compressor to catch up, getting grease all over your air hose, and taking the grease gun apart because it won't move the grease. This gun is more powerful than any air powered gun I have had.

    Doesn’t disappoint

All around great tool. I work on an oil rig and really put my tools to the test and this one stands up to the toughest conditions. It’s only down fall is the weight. Weighing in around 10lbs. With grease and battery does make a noticeable impact when climbing a 170’ ladder with a grease gun and tools dummy corded to you. But overall with it, enough pressure to clear neglected zerk fittings and the hose is long enough that you can hook to a fitting and rest the gun in something else

    Awesome Tool

Had it for a few days now, this is one of those tools, where you think why havent I had this. Uses standard 14 oz grease tube. Not a downfall but just an FYI. The tool is heavy and bulky compared to a manual grease gun, but does come with a 3 ft whip so you can set it down. It is definitely hand carryable and not that heavy, just wieldy compared to a regular manual gun. Lastly I added a lube lock to it as well which thats another tool I wouldnt go without again.

If you use grease guns this is a must have

Posted by Tommy Richard West, Jr on 2022 Aug 7th

My only regret is that I put off buying it for a while. I have 2 of these now. They prime easily in a couple seconds after loading grease and from then on when you pull the trigger you will get grease and never have to deal with air pockets ever again. The trigger has speed control. The hose locks on the grease fitting easily. honestly I would pay much more for this just for the fact that all of my headaches or dealing with manual grease guns are now gone forever. My first grease gun is 7 years old and is as nice as the day I bought it other than being a little dirty. I first grease gun still has never failed in any way. Dewalt does make some pretty great tools and I would know because I have several of each tool and nearly every 20v tool they make. This is a solid choice.

It's different than a manual, but not unexpected.

Posted by Trebor Leeks on 2022 Aug 7th

It loads a bit different, those that had trouble loading, didn't push the rod sideways. Most have a tab to hold the rod, this one has a notch in the rod.The air plunger is not spring loaded, you have to twist it like a tube of toothpaste to release air Then it loads fine. Good power, did a complete boat trailer, with one small lithium ion battery. I'll use a bigger battery, when I test it on the boat lifts that are in the water all year. Even with a hand pump, I have to use a hammer and piston to open some of the zerks. 11 people found this helpful

    Love it.

Posted by Matt on 2022 Aug 7th

I love this thing. I’ve had it for several months and use it on my truck, mowers and other things needing grease and wish I had bought one of these a long time ago. I don’t have the new fancy batteries that dewalt came out with over the last few years but I do have the smaller 20v lithium batteries that I use on my drill and impact drivers and it works just fine. After speaking with dewalt customer service they said there is no problems running the smaller/older batteries, you just don’t keep a charge as long but I haven’t had any problems with battery life for my applications; I suppose if you were a mechanic that worked on heavy equipment in the field or something similar that didn’t have the ability to recharge batteries in the field it would be worth buying the new batteries but I do fine with the old ones. If you’re thinking of buying a battery grease gun then go for it and get this one, you won’t regret it at all.

A Must-Have Tool for Anyone with Heavy Equipment

    Posted by Greener-pastures on 2022 Aug 7th

I bought this because I formerly was using a mini Lucas Oil brand manual grease gun to lubricate my John Deere 3025. Then I bought another, larger, tractor and a new tandem axel trailer and realized this was insanity. So I took the plunge and bought this tool. I already own a full set of DeWalt power tools so I opted for the tool only. This grease gun is built to the same standards that all you can expect from all other DeWalt tools. It's a hefty tool but it's got a nice shoulder strap to offset the weight. Also, the long hose allows you to reach tough spots and set the tool on the ground if need be. The light is very helpful and bright. This gun runs John Deere Polyurea grease flawlessly. My one major recommendation is to buy a Lock-and-Lube coupler as it's a perfect compliment to this tool. I bought the XL version, and I glad I did. Battery life has thus far proven excellent. Flow is great and each fitting is greased to spec in a few effortless seconds. Loading the gun is very simple and much easier than the mini gun I had. The empty grease tubes also come out with minimal effort. I have had no problem with purging any air from the gun---which is easily accomplished with the bleed valve. In my first day of ownership I greased two tractors, a 12-foot flexwing bushhog, and two sets of trailer axels and I could have done more. Definitely worth buying if you like being productive.

Greatly speeds up greasing vehicles or machines . Much easier, much faster, less work.

Posted by SubwayRocket on 2022 Aug 7th

Greatly speeds up greasing vehicles or machines . What's nice is that you can have it down at your side while you're under a vehicle hitting grease fittings and just squeeze the button. Much easier, much faster, less work. You may want to consider wrapping a plastic shopping bag around the body of it when using it. It has a tendency to get grease all over the tool and battery. Also , when you prime a grease gun, you unscrew the tube a little, then release the rod which pushes any air out. If you don't have the tube screwed in enough when priming, it can pop out and you'll have a mess . If you know how to prime a grease gun then you shouldn't have the probs you often see voiced about grease guns losing prime. If it does lose prime, you just bleed it...and make sure you don't have the tube unscrewed too much (as i mentioned above) . There is a guy on youtube that shows plainly and simply, how to prime a grease gun. The title is " How to bleed a grease gun every time " and his channel is DLH Farms . And a good thing to buy with this gun is a Grease Needle , I have the Lumax LX-1416 . It's cheap, and it will allow you to pump grease into many places that need it, but dont have a grease fitting.
