DEWALT 20V Max Cordless Drill Combo Kit, 10-Tool (DCK1020D2)

I've been tackling jobs around the house left right and center! I might purchase a larger battery in the future, but the two that come with the bundle have been adequate to date. They are the smallest on offer by Dewalt but I keep on on the charger while working with the other and not even close to battery shortage thus far.

High quality tools they have help me with tons of projects great price highly recommend to anyone who’s handy and likes to work in their home

Very happy with this set of my first “grownup” tools. Particularly pleased with the leaf blower and the drills. The flashlight is ok, but a little on the flimsy side. No way would I pay the $50+ they want for it if I had to buy it separately. The storage bags the set came in are high quality. Overall I’m very pleased and ma aready buying other Dewalt products.

Of course more batteries in a kit like this would always be better. The kit covers most of my needs I did buy some 60 volt batteries as well extends the use a lot. Using the smaller batteries on the grinder will disappoint you quickly.

More often than not, this set of tools will cost you over $800 but if you watch the price and be patient, you can get them for around $540.
The quality of tools is excellent. Many like Dewalt, some don't. Find the tools that suit you and don't worry about reviews. They're all relatively similar.

I purchased this kit on special for just over $500. All tools are well built. The blower and vac are especially useful. I wish it would have come with more batteries and/or a second charger (when you're talking about 10 components!) Also, the Bluetooth speaker absolutely will not pair with my phone, so I'm not sure what the problem is there. Alas, I didn't really care about the speaker, so I won't be deducting any stars. All told, very happy with this package!

Product as advertised. I almost didn’t get this because of the reviews of other contractors saying the tools are junk. But fortunately I ordered the tools anyway. I run a drywall paint carpentry business and these will work perfectly for the day to day tasks. Perhaps if I was only doing carpentry and had more in my budget I would go for the XR tools for the circular saw and sawzall but for me corded tools are the way to go if you need the most power and longevity. I’ve used DeWalt tools and I know these are quality tools for the price ($529). I highly recommend this kit for said price. Downside is that if you use these tools for long periods of time you will need to buy more batteries. For now this is a great starter kit for any contractor and especially any homeowner using it for projects around the house.

I originally purchased this kit in November 2019 and it’s currently September 2020 when I am writing this. I’m a finish carpenter and at the time of purchase I needed to start over and buy my own tools due to circumstances. I had been using Makita cordless tools for about 5 years at that point, but found myself able to choose between the brands since I was starting over. Personally for myself since I’m not putting my tools through the ringer on a rough job site everyday, since my work is all finish work. This set is beyond excellent for what I needed. It has all the tools I needed in an arsenal all in one kit. And that is hard to accomplish. I’ve read reviews bashing this kit and I get it, these are not brushless tools except one (use your blower & take care of your tools) and if you don’t understand what I mean go research the difference between brushless and non brushless. However, it is a solid kit that gives you a huge amount of value for the price. You’re able to tackle a wide range of tasks with this kit. If you don’t plan on taking care of your tools and just want to pull them out and put them back buy XR and go brushless. If you have time to care and clean your tools then this is a great set to have. I’ve used every tool since I purchased it and have had excellent results. Of course you will need to buy larger batteries. The 2ah are only good for your drill guns, flash light, and speaker. Also the speaker can charge your device that was a pleasant surprise. All that said, I hope this helps

Decided to upgrade my cordless tool.Alway's a big Dewalt fan.So I did my research! This is not Dewalt's top of the line, the XR series Is( a lot more money). However I recently had a new furnace put in and contractor had the exact same tool's that I now have (I took the number's off his tool's).He had used his tool's for several year's.So for the week end warrior or the do it yourselfer I think this tool kit is more than you will need.I haven't used these tool a lot yet but I bought 2- 5 amp hour batterie's' to use along with the 2 amp hour batterie's in the kit. This is an excellent kit, highly recommend.

Had this kit a few months and have been able to use every item. Overall, it’s a good kit for the basic user. If you’re a heavy user, you’ll want to get Dewalt’s XR line.
Pros:
- Every tool you’ll need in one kit.
- Includes blades for all saw items.
- The speaker doubles as a USB charger for your phone.
Cons:
- Included batteries don’t last long for the saws. You’ll want to get additional, or higher capacity, batteries.
- The circular saw is pretty low on the RPMs, so you have to take your time cutting
- Multi tool doesn’t easily accept all blade types. They do include an adapter ring, but when I tried using it with my existing blades they can lose after a few seconds. Not safe!!!
- The wet/dry vac is useless for water. Tried using it and after there was only 1/2” of water in the vacuum it started coming out the exhaust vents. It’s got a lot of power, which is part of the problem. Without enough depth in the reservoir, the water gets sucked up into the motor too quickly.

You get 8 important tools to any trade (or hobby) you could go into. I won't count the bluetooth speaker (that's more like a bonus) and the useless work light flashlight thing (barely bright enough to see in an attic).
The circular saw comes with a blade, and so does the oscillating saw, but you will need to purchase reciprocating saw blades for the reciprocating saw, so whatever price you see it listed as, add a twenty for that.
I got this at discount, but seeing how frequently almost every tool every single day working in HVAC, and given how powerful and useful the tools are, this toolkit is worth the grand it originally asked for.
You get 8 important tools (plus 2 bonuses). I won't need another tool to complete any job except for luxuries after this.

I have always enjoyed using Dewalt Tools. My setup before this was the 18V drill, reciprocating saw, and circular saw which really worked great... except for those 18V batteries not holding a charge long enough.
I have been using the 20V lithium ions at work and love their light weight and battery run times. So I decided to get my own set.
While looking for some sales on the combo kit I saw the big kit on sale.
My big concern with the cordless drill is that it was not the hammer drill version. Since I have a working hammer drill and you can purchase the 20V to 18V adapters to use on older tools, I decided to go that route. You don’t always need a hammer drill but when you do, you really do!
I was also very excited to get the oscillating multi-tool which is really versatile! I actually used it to cut out all the dividers in my old Dewalt hard cases to store stuff in them. I can see the potential uses for this tool.
Circular and Reciprocating saws I have not used in this kit other that to make sure they worked, but I have used the 18V versions and found them to be very useful.
Cordless angle grinder is a pretty neat tool. I can see some things I can do with it but I don’t use an angle grinder very much. I did use it to reprofile an axe head and it worked great.
The impact driver is one of my favorites. I have the 12V version and it is phenomenally useful. The 20V version is too!
The blower looked kind of a gimmick, but produces a pretty decent blast of air from it. I was impressed with how much power it had.
The cordless wet/dry vacuum is pretty cool as well. I didn’t know they made such a thing. It will come in handy for those small spills and cleanup jobs. I don’t use it in the shop as I always have a big wet/dry ready there.
The charger is neat in that it will charge my 12 V lithium ion as well. My 12V one will also charge the 20V ones. So that is a win!
The speaker is pretty decent for its size. I like how you can run it off of the battery or the included AC wall wart. Sounds good but it isn’t a Bose.
Also on the speaker thought... I think Dewalt missed a cool opportunity. Since it plugs into AC power it would be cool if the batteries would charge while in the speaker connected to AC power.
The batteries you get 2 amp hour ones. These do make the tools, especially the drill, feel light in the hand. I suspect I will upgrade to the 5 amp hour ones but the 2 amp hour ones are definitely handy and will probably be paired with the tools that I don’t use as heavily.
One thing I thing is missing or should have been included was the Dewalt belt clip for the cordless drills and drivers. I definitely find these useful and I keep them on all my Dewalt drills and drivers.
The work light is cool too, but I doubt I will be using this tying up a Dewalt battery. It’s a good light but other than emergencys when the power is out, I don’t see me using it that much. When I was looking at my old 18V tools I saw there was one of those lights in there that I never used. Still it will come in handy and being that I usually use a headlight I am covered. Glad to have it though.
Speaking of lights, most of the tools have LED lights that shine on the work area. Very handy and useful.
I am very impressed with the array of tools that comes with the kit
