Seem great so far!
I was going back and forth about getting either the aluminum gaffs or the steel ones. I don't climb super often but still wanted something that was comfortable and going to hold up. I decided on the steel ones and they work great! I don't think they are heavy at all and they work really well!

Great saddle hunting gaffs (with slight mod)
Great saddle hunting gaffs (with slight mod) Bought these to saddle hunt. First time to ever use gaffs and I absolutely love them. Very comfy and light weight. I did remove the Velcro and lower leather buckle and replaced with quick release strap/buckles. I needed it to be quiet. That Velcro is super loud. Only and issue if you hunt. In my pic you can see I also added some camo duct tape to reduce contact noise and help them blend a bit. Great gaffs doe a rookie!
