Nike’s ISPA line continues to push the boundaries of innovation, creating sneakers that could easily be mistaken as prototypes. The latest, the Drifter Gator, is no exception. It’s a follow up to the previously released Drifter Split, sharing the underfoot tooling and wedge shape but deviating massively elsewhere. There’s a more conventional toe box, this time around, but the heel is where all the attention is going. There’s a large hip pack-inspired pouch, housing a quickly deployed waterproof gator, that serves as a reminder of ISPA’s function-first ethos.
