Life saving breeze in hot Texas weather

Posted by DW on 2022 Aug 7th

I bought this for both my wife and I. She uses it when selling at a farmers market and it's been a VERY welcome relief on a hot Texas day. I use it when working in a tight area of the garage, or when I'm in a room without a ceiling fan. It's very useful. The higher the fan speed the louder it is, but even on high it's not really loud. It's pretty quiet at low to mid speeds. Using a 5AH battery, this can last several hours. My wife has used it for 4-5 hours on medium-high to high speeds and will still have power to spare.

    Better than expected

This is such a great unit! It really moves some air and seems to go a long time on a 1.5Ah battery (I have them from my atomic drills). A bigger battery will extend the run time but it's blasting the whole time right up until the battery is tanked. It's a bit on the large side for 'portable but it certainly will not disappoint. Those crappy table fans that run on old chemistries are no match for this thing. It's seriously beast-mode. Dewalt really did an amazing job on this one.

Only had four days … still on same battery … Amazing!

I bought this for brownouts in the AZ desert. Received Friday , plugged in one of my DeWalt 20V 6 A batteries. Ran it all day and night Saturday and Sunday until 10:00 … then back on Sunday early evening until Monday at three, then back on at 6:00/18:00 … it is still on ( it’s Tuesday afternoon) … I I keep waiting for the battery to die so I can recharge … now … I am running on the next to lowest setting … will let you know when it finally needs recharging … will be ordering another one for sure!

Great for in the shop and camping.

Simply put, this is an AWESOME fan. I've had this for over a month now and have been using it almost daily. It's great for in the shop on a hot day, and it's a godsend on hotter camping trips when your tent becomes an oven. We ran this thing on medium speed (didn't need to go any higher, this provides more than enough air flow for an 8-person tent) for 3 days on a 12hAh FlexVolt battery and it still had juice left in the tank. Unreal! Didn't even touch the second battery I brought. Pro's: - 650 CFM of airflow. I never really need to go above 75% speed unless it's really, really hot. - Great battery life. Several days on a battery (obviously depends on what battery you use and how fast you run the fan). - Compatible with FlexVolt batteries. This was my biggest concern before buying it, super glad it works with them. - Lots of mounting options. - Feels durable. - Water resistant. Cons: - Inside of carry handle could use a little texturing. Sometimes feels like I could drop it while carrying it. - No wall plug! The old version had a wall plug input. Have no idea why DeWALT removed that feature. Would be nice to utilize sometimes.
